Show Highlights on the Las Vegas Strip

It's not a Las Vegas Vacation without seeing a truly incredible show. There are the lasting classics like Celine Dion or Siegfried & Roy's Royal White Tigers, which are always classic entertainment. But there are also shows that have become recent hits. Here are a few of our personal favorites that you should check out during your next trip to Vegas.

Terry Fator:
He captured the hearts...and funny bones...of America with his rousing victory on "America's Got Talent." Now, Terry Fator brings his hilarious live show to The Mirage in Terry Fator & His Cast of Thousands. New impressions, new celebrity voices, new puppets and more laughs than ever - Terry Fator & His Cast of Thousands fills the stage with celebrity singing impressions and unparalleled ventriloquism, backed by a sizzling live band. Fator brings to life his puppet co-stars including Winston, the Impersonating Turtle, the loveable Emma Taylor and new addition Vikki "The Cougar" through comic banter and their hilarious takes on musical superstars such as Cher, Justin Timberlake, Elvis Presley, Garth Brooks, The Pussycat Dolls and more. - Mirage

KÀ Cirque du Soleil:
KÀ at MGM Grand tells a thrilling adventure story about Imperial Twins who are separated by an attack on their Far Eastern palace and overcome adversity to be reunited. This Cirque du Soleil show has a clear plot, making it easy for people to sympathize with the characters and follow along as the story unfolds. Apart from a brief narrative at the beginning of the show, there is no talking. Instead the story is told through the performers’ actions and dazzling special effects. One of the most mystifying elements in the show is the ever-evolving stage that transforms into a floating barge, a beach, a snowy mountain and a violent sea in the midst of a storm, among other varied landscapes. -Caroline Fontein

Jersey Boys:
Jersey Boys at the Palazzo is a cinematic journey through the lives of Frankie Valli, Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi and Bob Gaudio and their rise to stardom as The Four Seasons. Their voices fit together in perfect harmony yet each of The Four Seasons had a distinctly different personality that becomes apparent as they take turns telling their side of the story. - Caroline Fontein

Las Vegas Sports Scene

Las Vegas is a wonderful weekend retreat for Southern California residents. With only about a three hour drive time to get there, it is an ideal spot to simply get away for a couple days. Recently, our close friends, the Martins, took a weekend to enjoy the Spring excitement in Vegas. Being ardent sports fans, upon their return here is their take on the sports scene in Las Vegas.

March Madness is in the air in Las Vegas! We made our way through the desert in hopes of some warm weather and some great basketball action. This trip we decided to stay in the new Palazzo Hotel (on right). It sits nestled on the strip between the Venetian and the Winn hotel. The Porte Cochere is like a grand Italian welcome that is rather subtle for a Vegas Strip Hotel. I might even say it was elegant. We have come to expect, “over the top” everything in this town, so these classic Italian influences were both pleasant and refreshing. Our suite was wonderfully large, modern and comfortable.

This month reels in the most ardent of sports fans. The intensity for the game of basketball is on every face. And sports book hot spots are the place to be. These media room wonders are complete with tiered seating and multiple large screens to take in all the action. The savvy sports fan will book seating at one of these venues in advance. (months if possible)
